Today's the Blog Hop, where you can see other people's vintage Easter decorations and maybe pick up some free Easter images just by visiting the participating blogs.
You can check it out at:

My contribution is some freebie art, including a couple of unusual postcards I found when I went antiquing earlier this week, including these funny bunnies in a rowboat:
And for something really different, how about these girls in a weird eggshell swing:
I paid $1 for this 1933 pamphlet made of tissue thin paper, so thin that the type from the back side of each page shows through. I wonder how it survived all these years.
Here are two pages from the pamphlet with Easter songs. I thought these would be good backgrounds for an Easter collage:

I love those old postcards! Where are those bunnies going in that rowboat?! Love the egg swing too. They really used their imaginations back then when they made cards, didn't they? So much better than the ones you can buy now!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Carol
the post cards are wonderful!! I love how innocent looking the cards were back then!

I really love the two postcards. The bunnies with their boatload of eggs is too funny. And look at those pretty girls in the improbable swing!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for joining the Vintage Easter Blog Hop! xo Joan@anythinggoeshere {your hostess}
You are indeed a big girl now! Isn't fun to pick the picture you want to show on the list and then be able to look at the links and see what they have. I love this new link system. Joan@anythinggoeshere
ReplyDeleteLove the rabbits in the boat, too cute. I would like to see the collage you make with the sheet music, sounds like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThe bunnies in the boat are just too cute. They look like they're enjoying themselves, and they evidently know what they're doing in the boat even if we do not! Love your idea about the Easter Songs being the background for an Easter collage. What a good idea!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter,
Elaine :)
Great images, I just love the old postcards and your Easter pamphlet is wonderful, thanks for the images. AND your kitty in the crock is a cutie. LOVE that sweet little face. Looks a little like my carrot eater!

Oh I love all things vintage. Paper of course is the best. I hope you make copies before you use the old. Have to keep it for years to come. I love the Easter shell swing. Bet it is from the early 1920s..
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!

I luv the bunnies in the rowboat! The eggs are so colorful and just make ya smile :)!! Happy Easter ~ Judi
ReplyDeleteLove your vintage postcards! They are just lovely. The colors on old paper always amaze me.
ReplyDeleteThe music and other images are great. When something from the other side shows through, as the music does, I put a black piece of construction paper behind it. I'm a teacher so I learned that little trick when I need to make copies on the copier. Then the other images won't show. It might work on pictures from cameras, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. ♥♪
